teaching

picture6Mary Saint-Palais possesses a C.A. (Certificat d’Aptitude) de Chant. She teaches at the Conservatoire de Rueil-Malmaison in the French department of Hauts-de-Seine, near Paris.
She undertook three years of training in the teaching department of the Paris National Conservatoire (CNSMDP), perfecting the many skills required of a singing teacher.
For her students, she organizes exchanges, partnerships and meetings with her fellow artists. Les Arts Florissants, Natalie Dessay, and Karine Deshayes have all, for example, welcomed meetings and invitations to rehearsals, and have given masterclasses.
Thus her students can either weigh up the implications of a professional career, and prepare for it calmly, or continue as an amateur in excellent conditions. A number of them have gone on from her class to the prestigious conservatoires in Amsterdam, London, Stuttgart or Paris.
She is part of a young generation of teachers who enjoy working together and passing on their experiences to their students. She particularly works in partnership with the mezzo soprano Florence Katz.
Mary Saint-Palais is a regular member of competitive examination boards, such as FLAME, UPMCF, CRR Rennes, Tours, Grenoble, and CNSMDP.
